(1) Services

Central Core Research Facility maintains and supports sophisticated equipment and provides access to the latest technology of high-end equipment to all researchers and clinicians.

(2) Education

a. Training - Central Core Research Facilityprovidesa customized short term training program for three months (12 weeks) on high-end equipment and basic lab techniques by involving key mentors from different labs of SGPGI such as Immunology, Molecular medicine and biotechnology, Pathology, Hematology, and Microbiology so that young fellows can be well versed with key aspects of biological tools and understandtheirusesin biomedical research.At the end of the training, fellowsare evaluated based onpresentationsand MCQ tests.

b. Workshops/ study sessions - Central Core Research Facilityorganizes workshops/study sessionsrelated to high-end equipment by inviting experts from reputed premier institutes.

(3) Research

Central Core Research Facility provides a robust platform on high-quality, reliable, state-of-the-art high-end equipment that can be used to develop proteomic and genomic-based diagnostic biomarkers for patient service and clinical research work.

Workshops conducted by Central Research Facility (Core Lab), SGPGI

Central Research Facility (Core lab) organized a series of lectures online for students and faculty members of SGPGI onthe utility of high-end equipment available in the core lab for clinical practice and research.

Applications of LC/MS in Research and Clinic was conducted on Friday, October 22nd, 2021, at Core lab,in which around 98 participants joined. The following eminent experts talked about different aspects of LC/MS.
