Steps towards a better SGPGI environment:
SGPGI is a lush green, sprawling, beautiful
campus, a delight for animal lovers, bird
watchers, nature lovers and those who like to
indulge in outdoor activities and sports.
As a part of the tree plantation drive, on the
occasion of 71st birthday of Honorable Prime
Hon'ble National President - BJP, Shri J. P. Nadda Ji, Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, 101 Pipal trees
Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji CM, Govt. of UP with Director
were planted on 17th September, 2020. At my
request, Dr. Prerna Kapoor and her team
organized a poster competition for children on
the most relevant topic of these times “Defeat
COVID 19”. With painting and imagery children
expressed their thoughts, became more conscious
of the problem at hand and were eager to adopt
steps to overcome this mega illness. The Judges
were Prof. Alok Kumar, Dean College of Arts and
Crafts, Lucknow, Ms. Shikha Pandey, Assistant
Hon'ble Minister of Women & Child Development, professor Fine Arts, and Techno Group of
Govt. of India, Smt. Smriti Irani with Director Institution. Prize distribution ceremony was
graced by Shri Suresh Khannaji Minister Medical
Education and Parliamentary Affairs and Sh.
Rajneesh Dube, Addl Chief Secretary, Medical
Education. Following children were awarded
prizes- Sharon Lawrence, Sakshi Verma, Aparna
Singh, Amulya Singh, Pranav, Nikhil Garg,
Monika, Shresth, and Praneel.
