Dr Amita Moirangthem is a pediatrician and a medical geneticist by training. For the last six years she has been closely associated with patients and families with genetic disorders. She has special interest in children with overgrowth disorders, arthrogryposis and neurodevelopmental disorders. She is an expert in analyzing and interpreting genomic sequencing data. She is also a very active researcher with several ongoing research projects. Her focus of scientific research is elucidating the genetic etiology of rare monogenic disorders by next generation sequencing. She is also passionate about teaching genetics to students.
