28/06/2025: UP STEMI Care Program launched in SGPGI

Shri Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, Principal Secretary, Medical Health and Family Welfare/Medical Education, Uttar Pradesh affirmed that the UP STEMI Care Program represents a robust doctor-government partnership that prioritizes equitable access to life-saving care. With the rollout of this program, Uttar Pradesh aims to significantly reduce STEMI-related mortality and serve as a blueprint for scalable cardiac care delivery across India.

Padmashri Prof RK Dhiman, Director SGPGI expressed enthusiasm over SGPGI partnering the UP Government in this initiative and ensured his full guidance and support for this program.

23/06/2025: Inauguration of Health ATM Parag Dairy Kiosk

Two facilities were inaugurated at SGPGIMS, Lucknow. First is the state-of-the-art Health ATM at its Apex Trauma Centre and another is Parag Dairy Kiosk.

21/06/2025: 11th International Yoga Day

The two week long activities on Yoga practises organised at SGPGI to commemorate the 11th International Yoga Day culminated on 21st June with the demonstration of various Aasanas by Yogacharya Dr Ravinder Verma and Dr. Anchal Verma of Himalayan Gadhwal University, Paudi, Uttarakhand.

The theme of 11th International Yoga Day was: “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”. It was not just a one-day event, it reflected the country's enduring commitment towards holistic health, environmental harmony and global welfare.

14/06/2025: INTERNATIONAL NASH(Non-Alcoholic Steato-Hepatitis) DAY

Fatty liver disease is a rapidly growing health problem of modern era. Severe form of fatty liver disease is known as NASH, i.e., Non-Alcoholic Steato-Hepatitis. Globally, to raise the awareness about fatty liver disease among common people, International NASH day is celebrated on the second Thursday of June every year

The program was inaugurated by the Prof. RK Dhiman, Director SGPGIMS. The dignitaries emphasized that every third person in our country is affected with fatty liver disease. Diabetes and obesity are the major risk factors for fatty liver disease.
