Patient Care

     Inpatient services

A 20-bedded dedicated ward in the H- block of the main hospital building. We also provide interdepartmental consultation services to all departments, particularly pediatric Gastroenterology, neonatology, pediatric urology, neurosurgery, and critical care.

    Laboratory

All laboratory services are provided by our sister department, the Department of Endocrinology. Immunoassay (RIA, IRMA, ELISA, and chemiluminescence) facilities for most hormones used routinely in endocrine practice are available in-house, and more specialized assays (25-hydroxy D3, beta-crosslaps, and P1NP) are available. Tests for diabetes include HbA1c, urine microalbumin, GAD, and IA2 antibodies. Hologic dual energy X-ray bone densitometer for estimation of bone density, body fat distribution, and instant vertebral assessment (IVA) with pediatric software is available for patient care and research use.
