About Department

The Department of Hospital Administration was established in 1999. The department is dedicated to provide an evidence based professional healthcare & hospital administration in all its dimensions & ramifications. The basic objective of Hospital Administration is to create human resource in healthcare administration, who will be par excellence in their specialty riding on the trinity of teaching, training & research. The endeavour of hospital administration has been from the day one to infuse professionalism in every walk of healthcare administration, which is but a natural existence &rasond’tre of the being. The Hospital Administration of SGPGI is the only one such Department in Government Sector in entire U.P. & Uttarakhand which is rendering Consultancy to different Institutes/Medical Colleges/Department of Medical Education, Govt. of U. P. & NHM, e.t.c., on selected domains along the entire spectrum of healthcare administration.

The concepts are not limited to the Institute, but the endeavour is to propagate the specialty to develop more and more hospital administrators for effective & efficient functioning of the modern hospitals. Therefore, the Hospital Administration is also actively involved in organizing of training program/seminars for Central Govt. as well as State Govt. health services officers on hospital administration and patient care management areas apart from many regular full time & part time teaching program.
