She hasbeenworkinginthedepartment of Hematology forpast 12 and halfyears,withtheaimtoestablishtheall-majordiagnostic facilities inhouse and facilitate patient care in the department. She has been trained in PGIMER, Chandigarh and has been instrumental in expanding the laboratory set up of the department of hematology. Currently thereare09laboratoriesinthedepartment, which look after the basic and advanced hematology laboratory testing like the bone marrow lab,hemolytic anemia lab, coagulation Lab, flowcytometrylab, molecular hematology Lab, cancer cytogenetics lab, and transplant biology lab. Many of these laboratories are enrolled in external quality control programs to ensure laboratory standards. Her areas of interest include hemolytic anemias, coagulation disorders, aplastic anemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. Through and NHM sanctioned project, She is actively involved in the screening of thalassemia carriers in the surrounding districts.
Besides the routine patient care work, she is actively involved in numerous administrative tasks. She is presently the Nodal Officer, of the College of Medical Technology and Allied Health Sciences, which is running a total of 8 Undergraduate and 6 Post graduate courses.
