Yadav is presently working as Professor in the department of Endocrinology, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India. He did his MBBS in 1993 and MD (Internal Medicine) in 1996 from Seth GS Medical College, KEM Hospital, Mumbai and DNB (Endocrinology) from SGPGI, Lucknow in 2000. For last 18 years, he is working as Faculty with focused research in the field of diabetes, thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal diseases.
He is involved in patient care in Outdoor Patients Dept. (OPD), wards and emergency unit. Apart from this department of endocrinology also does various hormonal investigations, as faculty member he is also involved in supervising and validating the tests result. In area of research, he has done field research in various public related problems like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, iodine deficiency disorder, fluorosis, and diabetes during pregnancy. He has published these works in various international and national journals. Since his works were related to public health also got due acknowledgement at many public forums and print media. Apart from public health related problem he involved in research of Vitamin D deficiency in critically ill patients, problems in Sheehan's syndrome, outcome of surgery in Cushing's disease and metabolic syndrome in hypogonadism patients.
Medical ethics is an important part of any research institute. He worked as in charge of bioethics cell and member secretary of Institutional Ethics committee (IEC) for 6 years. SGPGI IEC is the 3rd in country to get recognition from FERCAP-SIDCER, a body from WHO. Being as teaching institute he involved in teaching programme of DM students. In last 10 years, he was project guide for 11 students.
