Dr.Roopali Khanna is presently serving as an Additional Professor in the Department of Cardiology, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. Dr.Khanna graduated (MBBS) from the Ganesh Shankar VidyarthiMemorial Medical College, Kanpur (GSVM Medical College, Kanpur), India, post-graduated (MD) in internal medicine from the King George’s Medical University, Lucknow (KGMU, Lucknow), India in 2007. She received her doctorate in cardiology (DM) from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India in 2011. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) USA. For the last 10 years,she is working as a faculty in the Department of Cardiology.
She is the author of more than 60 publications, including original papers, reviews, case reports and book chapters in various reputed international and national journals. Her main research has been in advanced echocardiography, cardiovascular diseases in women, intravascular imaging, chronic total occlusion revascularisation, and CHIP PCI.
Dr.Khanna is the reviewer for various reputed national journals including Indian Heart Journal, the Indian Journal of Medical research, Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases in women. Dr.Khanna is an active member of Cardiological Society of India (CSI). She is presently a Convener of CSI Heart Failure subspeciality council. She has alsobeen the active member of Cardiological Society of India, UP chapter and at present the Treasurer of the society. She is an executive committeemember of Women in Cardiology and Related Sciences (WINCARS),and is a central zonal executive.
