  • 1. Awarded a diploma by ESC for the "Best research work" submitted from ESC affiliated cardiac societies. Presented in ESC Congress 2012 - Munich, Germany. In this award-winning pioneering work, HbA1c was evaluated as a risk factor for CAD in nondiabetics, work was published in Proceedings of Mayo Clinic.

  • 11. Implanted a pacemaker in 104-year-old patient. He was the oldest patient implanted pacemaker in India, third oldest in world. Guinness world record is 105 years.
  • 12. Identified a sarcomere gene mutation responsible for LV dysfunction in CAD patients. Work was published in journal "PLoS One".
  • 13. Novel technique "Wire Mobilization Technique" for overcoming "Extreme Concertina Effect" during PCI of tortuous coronary arteries was presented in international conferences like TCT and PCR.
  • 14. Proposed a modification in the procedural steps of PDA device closure in difficult to do cases. Work was published in Catheterization and Cardiovascular Intervention and in Asian Cardiovascular Thoracic Annals.
  • 15. Developed a protocol for doing BMV in presence of LA clot. Work was published in the Journal of Heart Valve Disease.
