Dr Ankit Kumar Sahu is presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiology, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow since June 2018. Dr Sahu graduated (MBBS) from King George Medical University, Lucknow, India in 2009, post-graduated (MD) in internal medicine from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, India in 2013. He received his doctorate in cardiology (DM) from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India in 2017. He is an associate fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Intervention (SCAI). Prior to his appointment with this institute he was serving as consultant, interventional cardiology in Vivekanand Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow from November 2017 until June 2018.
He is the author of 22 publication including 8 international publications including original research, case reports, book chapter and review article. His main research work has been in the field of clinical cardiology, lipidology and pediatric cardiac interventions. He was the treasurer of UP chapter, CSI for the organizing committee of CARDICON-2020. He is trained in cardiac rehabilitation by ICCPR (International council for cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation) under CRFC (Cardiovascular rehabilitation foundations certification) program, 2018. He is the life member of Cardiological society of India.
