I am a data doctor. Love to analyse and visualise data through R software. Love to teach Statistics, especially to the applied user.
I pursued Ph. D. in Statistics during 2007-2012 from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Worked in the area of Stochastic Modelling of Human fertility (Mathematical Demography). After teaching in the core department of Statistics at Central University of Rajasthan and Allahabad University, switched to Biostatistics Department, SGPGIMS, Lucknow.
The Journey changes, from theoretical Statistics to applied statistics since 2017, also in the field of medicine. Started learning the basics of biostatistics, although seems running parallel to statistics with justification. Data Storage, networking, security, HIS Software management is also an integral part of my work now.
While all of this was happening, at the back of my mind, I had come to realize What I truly enjoyed - and what gives me a sense is the following fact. The theory that we learned and teach in Statistical methods relies on theoretical distributions, and the usual assumptions of normality and homogeneity. Whereas, in reality, most of these assumptions are not fulfilled especially in the field of patient care research. Decision-making depends only on the observed data not collected by random sampling. Hence how to correct statistics should be applied by the practitioners, how to train them with basics of statistics and do the data analysis with R and SPSS is my main target.
